The Role
Applications are now invited from suitably qualified candidates keen to be considered for appointment as a Family and Relationship Counsellor.
- Note – This role will cover two sites Narre Warren and Frankston with Narre Warren being the base site. Whilst we are open to discussing flexible work / hybrid arrangements, presence on site is a requirement of the role.
The appointee is responsible for providing short term counselling for individuals, couples and families. In doing so, the appointee will work closely with Better Place Australia colleagues in developing a coordinated and integrated approach to assisting clients to resolve relationship difficulties effectively.
Essential Requirements
- To be considered for this role, prospective candidates should have an understanding of family dynamics, mental health, family violence and its impact on relationships.
- Experience in working with couples, families and individuals in a therapeutic/short term counselling context.
- Experience in dealing with relationship issues, parenting issues and complex family dynamics.
- Membership or eligibility of membership with ACA (level 2 or above), PACFA, AASW or PBA.
