Our approach to governance and ethics means our research proposals are reviewed by our Research Steering Group and assessed against the research policy for merit, feasibility and ethics. This includes adherence to the National Health and Medical Research Council guidelines for ethical research. A project that has been approved by the steering group can progress, unless the project requires the collection of primary data from participants, in which case additional approval is required from a registered Human Research Ethics Committee.
